This winter, we’re putting that plan into motion: a seasonal seed and plant subscription, designed around your growing zone, your interests, and the rhythm of the year.

How it’ll work

Each quarter, subscribers will receive a curated box of seeds, starts, and garden goods matched to their USDA zone - beginning with Zones 7a and 7b (Virginia, the Carolinas, and parts of Maryland). Every shipment will include:

  • Curated seed varieties chosen for flavor, reliability, and local climate

  • Planting and care guides written like mini field journals

  • Companion planting notes and soil reminders for each month

  • And a few surprises - culinary herbs, seasonal bulbs, or products from our partner growers and makers

Our goal is simple: take the guesswork out of timing, sourcing, and planning, and help each gardener feel a little more in rhythm with their own backyard.

The technology behind it

We’re building an AKG Portal (Yes, I know we’ll need a better name) to power the experience - a personalized hub where members can access their planting calendar, seasonal checklists, and exclusive content tailored to their zone.

It’s where AKG begins to bridge the tactile world of soil with the digital tools that help you grow better, season after season.

Want early access?

We’re inviting a small group of gardeners to join our early access group this winter.
You’ll receive the first box in late winter 2026, share your honest feedback, and help shape the final version before our public launch in spring.
